Rotation Program Opportunities

Undecided on a career?

It isn’t always easy to determine the career that’s right for you. That’s why we’ve created a rotation program. These full-time programs give you the opportunity to explore different career paths at Ameriprise Financial and RiverSource. In these programs, you’ll rotate through different areas within a given department for 18 to 24 months as you expand your knowledge and gain on-the-job experience. You’ll also participate in valuable leadership development and training sessions to acquire a solid foundation for your career. This program is not only an effective way to define and narrow your career options, it’s a great way to create a valuable network and have flexibility, variety and challenging assignments all while developing professionally.

Finance leadership development program

This program is an opportunity to learn and perform diverse finance and accounting responsibilities. Participants gain broad finance backgrounds in the areas of financial analysis, finance operations, and corporate support groups.

Marketing leadership development program

This program gives recent grads exposure to a broad range of marketing initiatives along with the chance to gain direct experience in up to three 6-month marketing rotations. You’ll be placed in market research, advertising, brand management, field marketing, interactive strategy and more.

Wholesaler apprentice program

Our RiverSource Distributors give you a chance to jump start your career as a wholesaler apprentice trainee. The program consists of three 12-week rotations with RiverSource^® annuity, insurance and asset management products. You’ll assist advisors and brokers with competitive analysis, proposals, sales strategies and more.
