Get real-life perspective
and valuable experience
As interns at Ameriprise Financial, students and recent graduates perform real-world work and achieve bottom-line results. You can choose the area that fits you best, from advisor support to human resources to marketing and much more. You’ll also gain career-building skills and get a chance to network in a supportive, high-energy, team-based atmosphere.
The right internship can launch a successful and satisfying career. In our program at Ameriprise Financial, you’ll work on projects where your input and ideas are encouraged and welcomed. What’s more, you’ll participate in professional seminars, social events and volunteer activities that will help you meet the right people and build your business skills.
To qualify for the program you’ll need a minimum 3.3 GPA, proven leadership skills, relevant work experience and a genuine interest in the financial services industry. Summer internships are paid positions.
Ameriprise summer internships last between 10 and 12 weeks. During that time, you’ll work on a wide range of projects within the department you’re placed, while gaining valuable training on the job and through development workshops. Through your participation in our Speaker Series – developed specifically for summer interns – you’ll learn personal life and career lessons from our Executive Leadership Team. And last but not least, you’ll get an opportunity to collaborate with fellow interns on a capstone project – one that will not only look good to future employers, but also can have a real impact on our company.
With all of this experience under their belts, it’s no surprise some of our interns eventually go on successful careers at Ameriprise.
