A financial advisor is a relationship-based sales position where pay is based on the commissions and fees you receive for managing your clients' accounts. To support you as you begin your career, Ameriprise offers a base salary that reflects the demands of becoming a top-quality financial advisor, along with a variety of incentive-based bonuses. Over time, a financial advisor's salary is gradually replaced with commission-based and fee-based compensation.

In addition, Ameriprise Financial employees get full employee benefits, including a 401(k) plan with contribution matching features and medical, life and disability insurance. You may also have the opportunity to participate in our employee stock ownership plan, profit sharing plan and incentive stock option plans. These benefits may vary if you work for an Ameriprise franchise advisor.
