This is especially true in the first months and years in your career as a financial advisor. The following are key career milestones:

  • You’ve achieved your pre-appointment training and activity requirements. You look forward to your appointment as a financial advisor. Your discipline and hard work has paid off in the knowledge you’ve gained and clients you’ve acquired.

    10 weeks
  • Maintaining a high activity level is crucial to the growth of your practice. By now you’ll have acquired more clients and delivered and implemented several financial plans.

    6 months
  • Maintaining a high activity level continues to be a priority.  By now, you’re helping clients plan to achieve their financial goals and may be coaching early advisors. Your clients are referring their friends and family to you.

    1 year
  • You receive more advanced training and you’re growing your marketing repertoire with a consistent service model. You may be earning specific sales support to help take your practice to the next level. Some of your clients have achieved their goals and you’ve become an important factor in their lives.

    18 months
  • You have become a 2nd Year Achiever. You reach out to peers across the nation — learning from their practice and sharing your skills and knowledge.

    2 years
  • Your practice continues to grow — almost exclusively through referrals. You enjoy the freedom to focus on advising clients and building a financial planning practice. You take advantage of networking opportunities — with access to an extended group of specialists. You benefit from advanced support for top performers.
